I’ve been with my s/o for almost a year now and he’s wonderful. More than I could ever ask for. We haven’t said that we love each other yet, and lately I’ve been thinking about it so much. I love him and I want to tell him so badly.. but I’m nervous ??! We’re super open about everything and I’m more comfortable with him than anyone, but I’m so nervous to say it for some reason! We’re 20 but this is my first really serious relationship where I’ve felt this way.. need some words of encouragement! When and how did you say it to your s/o?

My bf and I were together 8 months and never said it to each other. I knew already for months I was so in love w him and couldn’t hold it in anymore. After prom we were siting in his car and he was getting rlly emotional about stuff and at the time I didn’t plan to say it at all but before I knew it my heart was pounding out of my chest and I told him i loved him. He started to cry and said it back. 
Point is, love is something that comes naturally. If u love him then tell him! Right after the words come out of ur mouth you’ll feel so much better.
