Baby boy Elliott!

Our little boy was born at 37 weeks and 5 days from induced due to my gestational hypertension the last 6 weeks or so of pregnancy. He is absolutely perfect and we are so in love! 💙

My birth story wasn’t very eventful, just long 😑 we went in Thursday August 16th at 7 am for induction and I was set on doing it as naturally and pain med/epidural free as I could even though it was an induction ha. I was given cervadil that morning which worked great according to my doc. Then my water was broken that late afternoon and throughout the night and next morning I worked through my contractions like a champ until I got to 7.5/8 cm where baby wouldn’t move down anymore, because my body started tensing up so much during contractions. Doc said my best bet at not being at the hospital for another 3 days waiting or risk having a c section was to get the epidural to let my pelvis and body relax so he could keep moving on down for pushing. The epidural worked wonders and within a HALF HOUR of getting it I was ready to push! Pushed for 28 minutes and Elliott Ronald was born- 6 lbs 4 oz and 19 inches 💙 I was so tired after 30 some hours in the hospital with no sleep, but was determined to meet this boy. I was amazed at how perfect he was and proud of myself for what I had just done. My labor and birth plan didn’t go exactly according to plan, but I guess that is life and also the life of being a parent now ☺️

Here we are a week later and I am tired & anxiety ridden, but couldn’t picture my days without this little boy 👶🏼
