The birth plan

Okay ladies, experienced or new mothers. How did you decide on your birth plan? I know some people don’t give a crap about the birth plan and say it’s ridiculous and I can understand that. But what I’m asking is how did you decide to do a water birth or an epidural? A home birth or a hospital birth? I’m pregnant with my first and I would love to hear some of your plans and experiences and how you came to decide.
