Is anyone terrified of bed bugs or is it just me?!

So my brother has bed bugs and I'm giving him a ride somewhere witch is quite a drive. I'm seriously scared his bed bugs are going to get in my car and then ill take them home. I've given him rides before where I always make him bag his suitcase and all his stuff I tie it up and stuff. Then when I get home I bag all my clothes before i go inaide and leave it outside in the sun even though I'm sure none got on me. I also leave my shoes outside and take a shower and then i even vacuum my car and deep clean it. Even though I know they won't survive I live in Arizona and its so hot in our car. I think its a phobia or something. Am I crazy? I just know how bad they can be and I avoid everything to not get them. I feel like a crazy person. But I'm sure all these steps are a for sure I don't bring them home..
