My teacher is making me uncomfortable...
Should I tell the principal now our wait to see if he does something else? When I walked into advisory this morning (our equivalent of homeroom) my advisory teacher stopped me and said "Has anyone ever told you you're a good dresser?" I thought I had heard him wrong so I said "What?". He said "You're a good dresser. You can dress very well." I just said thanks and went into the room, pretending that what he said didn't affect me. The words themselves seem okay, but when I thought about it, I realized that maybe I should be a bit worried. First of all, I was wearing a fairly tight red sweater and leggings, so my figure could be seen pretty well. And second, I think that an old male teacher should never be saying something like that to a 13 year old female student. However, although the words were worrisome, his tone of voice didn't make it seem too bad. It seemed like he was just saying that I had a good fashion sense, and I suppose the outfit did look a little formal. I told my friend who was in 8th grade last year (I'm in 8th grade right now) what had happened. She said that whenever she walked into English, this teacher would always follow her with his eyes and try to say hi. I haven't noticed if he looks at me, but I do know that he tries to say hi to me a lot. My friend suggested that I wait and see if he does it again before reporting it to the principal just in case it becomes pretty obvious he didn't mean it like that. I think that's the best option too, but what do y'all think?
