First girl crush. Advice?

I’ve had my first 3 days of eighth grade and I have my first crush on a girl. I’m bisexual, but I’ve never come out to anyone except eve. She’s new and seems really cool, and I’m thinking she might be into girls too. The only problem is, I told one of my closest friends that I had the biggest crush on him a few months ago, and he revealed that he felt the same, which was great at the time. We tell each other everything but I’m not sure if I can tell him about this, and I really don’t want to mess things up. I haven’t even told him that I don’t like him romantically anymore. I’m not ready to come out to anyone, but I feel like I should be honest with him. I know this sounds a lot like middle school bs, but some advice would be much appreciated!
