Can my husband and I break our lease once he deploys?

I know that legally we can since he's deploying soon, but both our names are on the lease this time and wasn't sure if they'd let me off the hook as well.

Actually they can tell you that you can't. Spouses are not covered if the service member is just going on deployment. Pcs yes. But deployment you technically don't have to leave so they CAN deny you. Which is why it's good to only have the service member on the lease. But most places won't get that picky. But there are people who have probably been scorned before because of this and are super picky.

Yes. I think technically they only have to if you pcs, but I could be wrong. I know I've broken leases when I've gone on deployment. most places don't ask questions. Just show hem his orders.

Yes you can. Just get deployment papers from his commander. They legally have to break your lease

The military clause covers you. Since you're married you are included. If you were just a girlfriend then you wouldn't be included.
