How to transition baby to milk?

My son is about to turn one. How did you transition your baby to milk and when? Or do you just make the switch completely when they turn 1?

whole milk made my daughter constipated to the max. so i gave her non fat milk for about 2-4 weeks to get her little body used to having regular milk. now i mix the whole milk and water. i do about 2-3 oz of water and 5-6 of whole milk

We started at 11m when we noticed he was running out of formula. He was drinking 8oz bottles at the time so we did it in 2oz increments. (2oz milk, 6oz formula etc). By 11.5 months he was on milk alone

I was still breastfeeding so I didn't stop all at once. I started cow milk by giving him one cup during lunch for a week or so. It took a while to find a cup he would drink out of! Then I replaced breastfeeding times with milk in a cup one feeding at a time every few days till he was just on cow milk.
