I believe I’m inserting my tampon incorrect! Tips ?

So I have been wearing tampons since yesterday and its so uncomfortable and my friends say I probably placed it incorrectly because, it hurts. And  I want to be able to apply it without hurting. Tips?

When I first started using them I was very uncomfortable and it turned out I wasn’t inserting them in far enough. That’s probably the case. Don’t worry, you can’t lose it by pushing it up to far, so try getting it in as far as it will go. If you do that you shouldn’t feel it at all

Use the tampons without an applicator, it’s so much easier to just insert it with your finger. You got to insert it up further then you think. Push it as far up with your finger as you can unless you got long fingers haha. You will know its placed correctly when you get off the toilet, walk around or sit and you can’t feel it much. If you sit down and the tampon hurts your vagina it’s placed too low. You’ll get the hang of it :) it took me a while tbh.

Try sitting on toilet and insert that way. If that dont work u can stand put one foot on toilet and insert it. It's all about finding what works for u.
