When a dog bites a child..

𝑔𝒶

In most cases, who do you think is responsible? I’m not talking about a dog randomly attacking. I’m talking about a child being in the dogs face, touching the dogs food, jumping on the dog, etc,

Is it the responsibility of the owner to train their dog to be okay around children and the fault of the dog for biting the child? Or is it the parents responsibility to teach their child how to act around a dog?

I watch this woman on YouTube who allows her child to climb all over their dog. It really scares me because the dog could get upset one day and nip at her.

In another situation, I always have a lot of dogs at my home due to me having a dog boarding service. Whenever I have dogs in my home, I don’t let my son climb on them, get in their face or space. I feel as though it would be my fault if he was bit. My neighbors kids on the other hand don’t know how to be around a dog and are always screaming at the dogs I watch, trying to scare them and stick their whole arms through the fence to pet them. In my opinion, it would be their mothers fault if they ever got bit, not the dogs.
