Once your child is not relying on you as it’s only source of food, it’s fine. I wouldn’t get tattooed in the first 6months of breastfeeding. Once your child has some immunizations, has started to build their immune system and is eating other forms of food, it’s ok.

I know you’re not supposed to during pregnancy only because your immune system is lowered and you’re more prone to infection in the skin... idk if you’re immune system is lowered while breastfeeding

So you could wait the 9months you were pregnant without getting a tattoo but u can’t wait for the safety of you baby for another year while you provide food for your child another year without another tattoo won’t be the end of the world
