Baby Shower

First time pregnancy do people usually not buy anything off of baby shower registries my showers coming up and the only person who’s bought anything was my grandma my dad and stepmom are buying something too. One of my friends said usually people just buy you whatever they want to buy you regardless if it’s on your registry and if it’s what your wanting example colors and patterns. She said she just had people show up and eat and leave. My boyfriend and I talked if we don’t get anything we’ll get the money together to buy the important items ourselves but I’m a little stressed.
