Boob Sandwich ?

So my little one is 2 weeks old ebf. But in order to feed him I have to make a boob sandwich for him to open wide enough and hold my boob because my boobs are big. Because my hands are full with baby and boob it makes it hard to discretely bf in public. I have to pray each time I squeeze my boob enough so he latches perfect. Anyway, my question is when will he be able to just open wide on his own and latch on without me making a boob sandwich ?

I think my daughter was around 4 months when she could latch on her own without help. Prior to that I had to sandwich my nipples for her as well. 
She was born at 37 weeks and it took her 6 weeks to learn to latch (even with my help) so I feel like becoming a pro at latching took longer for her.

I don’t know the answer to your question, but Ive been there too!
I have large boobs and had flat nipples. The first time I had to feed in public, I had a nipple shield and had to use both hands to get her latched. I never brought a cover because I felt like that was just one more thing I had to carry and remember.

Right now baby is still learning and as time goes on both of y’all will adapt and it’ll get easier. Right now baby has a tiny mouth so being bigger breasted may appear to be a challenge but as baby grows it’ll be a ton easier. Have you tried different positions? Or even when baby goes to nurse and opens mouth gently push down on the chin and insert the nipple fully into the baby’s mouth. As long as the nose is visible you’re fine! Typically breast size doesn’t matter as much as the actual nipple size and shape. As long as you’re ensuring a proper latch each time baby should catch on in no time :) good luck mama!
