A POP in my lower abdomen???

i was laying in bed on my left side for a good couple minutes then all of a sudden i felt a “pop” like lower mid abdomen/vagina/cervix? i then have like light cramping/shooting pain but not that concerning to me. i got up & im not wet so i don’t think it was my water but i’m concerned on wth it was?! any ideas? i’m a FTM 33w3d

I had this happen to me when I was 34 weeks. Turns out, my water broke but my water bag had a very small tear at the top of my uterus so I was leaking fluid for roughly 24 hrs before I went to get checked. I began having contractions a few hours after it happened but because I had a small leak, I didn’t know it was my water. My girl was born weighing 5lbs 8oz and had a 4 week NICU stay. I would call your obgyn because they can test if your water broke or not. It’s always best to be safe!

Honestly the only time I ever felt that sensation- twice - was when my water broke. 
With my second it broke as I could feel the pop but honestly nothing much came out until a few hours later. It had Indeed broke just not completely. 
They had to break it further during labor, 6 hours later

I’ve had this happen atleast 5-10 times so far... I’m 36 weeks pregnant. Doctor looked at me like I was crazy.. but I’m in a baby group on FB and this conversation came up.. apparently it’s not that uncommon but doctors seem to not really know why it happens. One lady said her son was born and his joints would pop and she thought that’s what it was. But, if you google it, it says that when the baby moves it can move around the fluid causing air and the popping noise.
