Have you ever put up a surveillance camera sign outside your home but had no cameras?

I was thinking of buying a sign to put outside my house. Even though I’m not going to have no cameras at least for now but we are trying to order some when we can. Will that be weird? 
Also if you have cameras do you think having a sign is necessary? To notify people to be aware?
Or 
Do you rather not let then know they’re been watched?

We have cameras and don’t have signs. However, look into the Nest camera! They’re like $200 and run on WiFi and you don’t have to have a subscription. That’s what we use in our vacation home. We go 5 months away from it during the summer so we can always see who comes into our driveway. We have them inside facing out the window.

It’s not weird but people can bluff you out easily. You’d be better off putting up an alarm system sign as people cannot easily see the system like they can with cameras.  
I do not have a surveillance sign, but I have an alarm system and an alarm system sign. I have multiple cameras on my property, including in my car and on and in the house. 
Some are domes on the outside. These are very noticeable by themselves and they scare the shit out of people. They are legit.

These are my normal cams I have on the outside as well, also legit but not as noticeable due to the white cover. Some blink red at night.

Have multiple dash cams all in my car. Also have flood lights. Bought all of my cameras for 99c or less minus the dash cams, I paid for those in full.

We have a camera in the window by the front door, we don’t have a sign. I think the sign as a form of deterrence is a good idea, but we were trying to catch someone specific who had been harassing me, so we opted out of the sign to be sure he’d come back. He never did though

Where I live if you don’t have signs saying you have cameras then the footage is illegal to use as evidence if something happens.
