Giving birth alone

Has anyone ever gone to the hospital and have birth by themselves? No family or SO? My SO and I are currently having some major issues where I don’t even want him there. He’s asked if he could come home to sleep while I’m at the hospital and then come back the next day cause apparently he won’t sleep good on the hospital couch.
