What is it with people not understanding the point of a uniform?! It's supposed to look professional, not personalized and pretty. Just had a freshman complain to me about how much she hates the colors of our marching uniform and I had to put on my best fake smile and tolerate her complaining.

A marching uniform is supposed to look professional, intimidating, and make all members of the band look the same so that the judges' attention is on the show. We're not going to change the school colors so you can have a sparkly little pastel uniform that you can personalize.
