Does bump size show how big your baby will be?

I haven’t gotten an ultrasound since 20 weeks and my belly is really small so I have nooo idea how big my baby will be but I’m due in a week. I’m wondering, if your belly was small did you have a small baby? or big belly with big baby? or does it not really tell you how big? Thanks

My bumps have always measured pretty on schedule and my son was born weighing 7 lb 9 ounces and my daughter was 7 lb 8 ounces. I am a petite girl so my bumps are usually not overly big. I’m currently 24 weeks with my 3rd and I’m guessing she will be around the same size as my 1st 2.

Nope! I was the biggest with my 3rd, measuring 2 weeks ahead, and had a 6lb 13oz baby! Just alot of water in there!

Does your doctor measure you with a tape measurer at your appointments? Typically they do and to be on track you should measure how many cm you are weeks or within a -2/+2 range. Like you said you are due in two weeks so a “normal” range would be anywhere from 36-40cm if you’re 38 weeks. At my last appointment I was 36 weeks measuring at 34 cm. My doctor wasn’t concerned because were still in range. Just on the smaller side of normal. She just thinks we’ll have a small baby!

No it really doesn’t tell you how big. My mom had 3 babies and got progressively bigger around each time (largest with me - I’m the baby) but we dropped in weight. She was the smallest with her first who ended up being over 8lbs, her second was 7lbs 8oz, and I made her the very largest but was only 7lbs 6oz.
