Boyfriend “ forgets “ to reply to me ( PLEASE HELP )

So I been dating this guy for about 2 months now and I’d say the relationship is great but whenever we are apart or not spending time together well text like every other couple

But he’ll text me saying “ hi” or we’ll be having a convo and he’ll just completely stop responding and be on social mending posting, on snap, insta, you know it.

Like an hour he won’t read it unless I double text

He knows it pisses me off but this has been a constant issue. He says he “ forgets “ but umm who forgets to text his girlfriend ? I don’t understand and I’m really getting tired of it. He’s gone out of town now for 2 weeks for work and it’s been happening a lot more. He told me if I keep complaining he just will stop talking to me. I’m pretty pissed off and upset about this. It seems he thinks the relationship is only about him and my feelings never matter.
