What’s Wrong With Me??

I’m 16 and I’m currently on my period. Every morning the past few days I’ve been waking up and I’ll get a hot feeling and I’ll feel faintish. At first I was having cold and hot chills cause I’m kinda sick. But now I just have these hot flashes come over me when I wake up. My mom is making pregnancy comments but I don’t think I am. I’m on BC (have been for 3 months) and having sex for 2 months. Plus my bf and I use condoms and it’s never broken. I’m just getting really worried. My mom also thinks it could just be anxiety. Can BC cause hot flashes? What could it be!!!!

ive always had hot flashes with pms! its hormonal so i wouldn't be worried but it could be from BC, again hormonal. if you're worried about it just go get yourself checked😁

I was about to comment on the low iron too. I have this issue and when I have my period it is of course worse. I have to take a supplement especially the week of my period or I feel awful. Not only hot flashes but that could be the cause. My mind wouldn’t go straight to pregnancy as it is unlikely with two forms of bc and being on your period.

I have gotten hot flashes for years and years! 🤣 I still don’t know why. I’m almost twice your age, but are you possibly getting out of bed too quickly? I find it helpful to sleep with a fan every night! I don’t think you’re pregnant with double protection... Especially since you’re on your period, right? Bugs are going around right now.

My birth control boosted my anxiety bad, on the day my period was due my blood pressure went from 107 to 133 and I was at work so they had the first responders check me out, because I was hot, couldn’t breathe and was about to faint couldn’t feel my legs etc and that was embarrassing. I’m on Junel fe 1.20

I'd guess you're anemic. I had all that and turns out I was severely anemic.

You could be very low on Iron.
