When do stitches get easier!?

I am 5 days pp and my stitches are still so sore!? When do they start to feel slightly better and not like I want to die every time I move x

Mine started to feel better around 3 weeks pp. before that, some days were beyter than others but any time I’d try to be on my feet for a while they’d start to hurt like hell. Rest as much as you can and try not to over exert and it’ll heal faster.

Im 11 days PP and I can wipe now but some positions sitting down and walking too much make them sting pretty bad,

Took mine closer to 2 weeks to feel a tiny bit better, but I also had a hemorrhoid from delivery that was quite painful. 4 weeks now and everything is just super itchy 😩

I started to feel better after about a week or so but I definitely had people help me. My mom came to my house to be with me when my husband went to work so I could rest/heal.

It’s not so much the stitches as it is nerves trying to reconnect and sending off pain signals. It’s a bitch to deal with and honestly it can take days or weeks. I’m 17 months after my last csection and I’ll still get an intense pain on my right side of my incision because of nerves if I move a certain way, some times randomly too but not often. Take the meds. If you run out and are still in pain see your ob and see about getting another prescription. After I went home I had to get a refill on mine because of the pain and my dr gladly gave it. Alternate between what you’ve been given, ibuprofen, and Tylenol. With the alternating it’ll be easier to deal with when you no longer have a prescription. Also find a really good belly support. There’s maternity underwear with a bit of a shapewear top on them that can give you a ton of support and keep your incision area stable. I found that even with that placing a firm hand it the area that bothered me most when sitting up in bed or lying down it was more tolerable.
