Wanting a 1st job, mom says nope

Hi a little back story, I’m 17 turning 18 in June, Senior in high school and I want to start working ( never gotten a job before Bc both my parents said no ) to see how it is going to be in college and working or just working in general well I live with my mom she always saying “ live under my roof, follow my rules “ anyways my dad has opened up to the idea of me working, and he always tells me where people are looking to hire usually I’ll say no because of my mom and I really didn’t want to but ever since I found out that she wants me going to college and come out working straight outta college I wanted a job to see/feel how it is, I need to learn how to have time management and be more responsible then just helping my sister with her homework . Well my dad calls me tonight telling me if I want to work where he works but answering the phone and taking orders on Friday,Saturday & Sunday from 6-4 , he works at taco bus so I tell him I can’t, but I’ll let him know if anyone else can . So I told my mom and the first thing she says is no . She’s a Jehovah witness and on Friday we got church @7:30-9:15 and Saturday she preaches & Sunday we got church from @1:00-2:45 . Meaning the only day I will miss will be Friday, but I told her I can go to church Wednesday or Thursday at a different jw place and she says no so I was like why is it so bad for me wanting to get a job ? And then she says if get a job I have to pay my car insurance which is $1,100 meaning the whole paycheck will be for insurance but how can I tell her I don’t want a job for money I want a job because I want to learn how to handle more things then what I’m doing now which is just going to school and helping my sister with hw doing my hw showing,Netflix and falling asleep and repeat next day 🤦🏽‍♀️, I understand that if I get a job whenever we got family vacations I might not be able to go and when they is a party . She thinks I don’t need a job because I have everything I need but what I don’t have is social skills or earn something myself . I don’t mean seem ungrateful for her not wanting me to get a job or Bc she gives me everything . I just want to experience getting a job before I go to college and learning new things . Or am I just dumb for wanting to get a job when I have “everything” in my mom words ?
