Birth control after this baby ??

Question

So, I was using the “fertility tracking” method for 2 years successfully without getting pregnant, although my husband and i didn’t mind if I DID get pregnant so we werent super worried about that plan failing. 
I got pregnant month 1 of trying 😳 
But after my son comes I’m like “dear god no I don’t want to get pregnant again” but I don’t want a hormonal method either because they mess with me pretty bad... 
I’m thinking copper IUD, has anyone had experience with it ?

I had it for 5 years! I would get it again. I like the peace of mind getting my period every month, with no hormones. There are cons though, with my experience. My heavy day was HEAVY! But my periods weren’t long while I had it. Maybe 4 days tops. And my cramps were bad!

That's what I had. No complications and the easiest time. Hormones and I didn't get along. Caused severe anxiety and depression and significant weight gain

I was on a very low dose b/c for like six years. Loestrin. Took me four months to get pregnant which is about how long it takes for it to leave your system. No weight gain or hormone problems with it. But everyone is different I just could NOT implant something foreign in my body I’m terrified of that kind of stuff lol and also metals make me rash out 🤷🏻‍♀️ like I can’t wear ear rings it looks like my ears are pierced but they’re actually scars from when I was a baby and had an allergic reaction and I have to take my rings off or I get a rash on my fingers. Only thing I can wear consistently are bracelets and necklaces because they move around and don’t just set in the same spot

Yep loved my copper iud
Easy and no worries, didn’t have to think about it. Only took us 4 months to get BFP when we tried to get pregnant
