Announce over FaceTime or in person?

My husband is in the military and we live about an 8 hour drive from home. I just found out that we’re expecting a little one in July (still veryyy early)!🎉❤️ I want to tell my family soon but I don’t know when the next time we’re able to visit home is. I want to tell them but I feel like telling them over FaceTime could be seen as tacky.

My husband has a shirt that says “Be Nice to me My Wife is Pregnant” on it (the way I told him) so we were thinking of FaceTiming everyone asking them if they like his new shirt?

What would you do in my situation? Opinions on FaceTime announcements?

They know me very well and although I haven’t told them that we’ve been trying since we got married in May- they all know😂 so I’m afraid it won’t be as much of a surprise
