Are ultrasounds separate?

I looked up first baby appointments as the topic on the app and I’m getting the impression that ultrasounds are a separate appointment than the baby’s appointment? Ftm, my appointment is in a couple hours and I’m now more nervous as I kinda expected all of it to be in one..

For my first ultrasound it was during my doctor appointment but for my 20-week I did the ultrasound and did a follow up with my doctor a couple days later

For me, they were separate appointments, one with the US tech and the other with my actual OB to discuss results.

No need for nervousness? The machines are typically pretty large as well as everything else needed for set up so usually that’s how it goes.
