17 dpo and bfn?!?!?

I’m so confused and idk what’s happening. I have had ovarian cysts in the past but never went in to remove them, I have been having pain and symptoms are far from the norm especially sore breasts like no other. I took a test after the first day of my missed period and got a bfn! How many days dpo have you guys tested and gotten a positive? Anybody with ovarian cysts have issue with their periods being late or infertility? I have been ttc with my husband for about 6 months now
