Should I tell my doctor??

So I’m 19 and I have my first real bf and we’ve been having sex constantly (about 3-4x a week) and I haven’t told my mom that I’ve lost my virginity. I mean I know it’s not bad but I’m just a bit worried about what she would say bc she’s super strict and she doesn’t know the guy. I feel through that since I’ve been having sex so much lately that I should tell my doctor so that he can refer me to an OBGYN to make sure that everything is fine and I also want to start taking the pill just to be safer.. idk what to do should I tell my doctor and my mom??

The way I went about it, I was 16, is I texted my mom saying I wanna get on strong birth control because I wanted to be safe just in case before my boyfriend and I got anymore serious... (we were already fucking like rabbits but she didn’t need to know) she gave me all the info to make my first gyno apt and I went by myself and have been taking care of my own birth control over since. She couldn’t be mad if I’m being safe

Tell your mom if you want, you're a legal adult and there's nothing she can do except maybe be disappointed. Definitely tell your doctor though to see about a referral and birth control. Glad you're mature enough to want to be responsible for your own health and wellbeing. I wasn't at your age and I regret it.

You're 19 now which means if you tell your doctor he cant tell your mom. He can refer you to a gyno and the gyno can get you on bc. If your mom asks why, just tell her you've been cramping really bad/ ance/ heavy periods/ irregular periods

Tell your doctor. then if you want to control what your mom knows ask about a release of medical information form. Over 18 they can only talk with people you have given them permission to on that form.
