What’s your guys’ experience with the IUD/birth control implants?

I’m considering having an IUD implanted or some other form of birth control implant. I know the info on possible side affects is online but I wanna know how it works for people personally. Do you like it? Is it worth the side affects/ drawbacks?

I love my Mirena iud. No side effects and no periods. Best decision I've ever made

I have the Paraguard and I like it. I have experienced no negative side effects other than having the second and third day of my period is a little heavier than normal but nothing unbearable. I also have zero cramping and I get my period every month.

I have mirena. Insertion sucked but only took a few minutes. I had 2 weeks of bad cramps. My periods have gone away at month 5. I think it's worth it. We dont feel it during sex but I can do my monthly string checks.

I had the mirena for 3 years. No period the first year. The last 2 years had a period and started to lose my sex drive. Sex started to become painful and I had it removed.

I took my IUD out paragaurd gave me intense long painful periods and I had no sex drive.
