Moving in together?

My boyfriend and I have been together a little over a year and we both graduated college in May. Since then, we have both been working and living in our parents house. I’ve been very ready to move out since I’ve lived away from my parents for 4 years and prefer the independence. He’s been away too but tonight he told me that he doesn’t think he’s ready to move out and leave his parents house. He says it’s not because he’s not ready to live with me, he’s just not ready for that responsibility and he enjoys living at home. We’re both almost 23 and in a very serious relationship (or so I thought). We wouldn’t even move out for another 4-6 months. It just kind of bothered me because I feel like we’re at that point. Should I be worried?

It’s a big step and I hear where he’s coming from. Does he have student debt? Does he want to travel? There are some restrictions when you have rent and someone else is relying on you to contribute. Doesn’t mean your relationship is in danger. Just have a deeper convo with him about it.

When you’re in a relationship, it’s not just about your feelings, it’s about your partners as well. Just because you’re ready, doesn’t mean he is. Just because you feel you’re ‘at that point’ doesn’t mean he has to feel the same way
All you can do is talk to him about his feelings/concerns/ect, and see what can be done about them, and then be patient until he’s ready in his own time, or decide that you can’t wait for him and break up 
If you want to move out, then do it. You don’t have to wait on him. Then you get what you want, and he can do what he wants until he feels ready as well

I definitely get out that would bother you. Me and my SO are only 20 but it worries me a little that he moved back in with his parents this school year and he doesn’t have any plans to move out, just says he probably will for senior year of college. I don’t expect us to move in together yet, I just want to see him being independent and responsible because that’s what I want in a future husband. So I can definitely see where you’re coming from, but at the same time he could just be worried about money and saving up enough, so I guess just express your concerns to him but give him the benefit of the doubt if you really want to be with him
