Scheduled c-section turned into VBAC
So I had a scheduled c-section tomorrow morning (Wednesday) at 39weeks 4 days.
Well last night (Monday) I was perfectly normal. Not dilated. No signs of labor. All of a sudden it’s 8:30, I’m on the couch waiting for my pork chops to cook 👩🍳 and I just get this feeling like I got punched in the stomach and a POP. My water broke everywhere.
So I knock on the bathroom door where my
Husband is showering and he thinks I said the kitchen faucet broke 😂😂😂 but then he realizes what I’m saying and he freaks out. He’s running around the house trying to get everything ready and get our son whom we just put into bed up.
I call the hospital, I call my sister to meet us there so she can take our son and we’re out the door by 8:50.
We get to the hospital at 9:30 and at this point contractions are 6 minutes apart (they came out of nowhere).
The nurses are prepping me for surgery when the doctor comes in and says “well you’re already dilated to a 6 so you may as well get an epidural and just have her vaginally, it won’t take long”
I’m like “uhhh sure”
At 10:44 i get the epidural
Then all of a sudden at 11:53 Magnolia Beth is born🤷🏻♀️♥️

My first labor was 20 hours then 3 hours of pushing resulting in an emergency c-section and my son was 11lbs.
This baby took 3 hours and was 6 lbs. 🤷🏻♀️
She had what they call a “blue spell” last night when the nurses were getting her ready to bring her to me for the night. She stopped breathing and went blue. They got her up but monitored her until 7 when her temperature dropped. Then they monitored her until 12, I breastfed her like I’ve been doing every 3 hours, then her temp dropped again. Then they finally let me have her at 3. I’ve had 2 hours of sleep in the last 40 hours but it’s worth it ❤️
