Scared of sex bc of my mom

Hey ladies, so today talking with my mom she said that she regrets 100% having sex with my dad before marriage because she disappointed herself (they did it once after 5 years and then got married like 3 months later).

I was kinda shocked and she actually got teary.

I was feeling kinda ready to have sex with my boyfriend but now with this is as if I got back to the beginning. I know my mom's life is not my life but I can't help but feel even scared of doing it outside of marriage even though it's not something I was scared or before.

Any advice on how to understans my mom's life is not mine? I always struggle with that 😭
