I hate this time of year...

I’ve always hated Christmas season for as long as I can remember. I don’t like the music, I don’t really care for the decorations, I don’t like the gifts or the dinners. My parents have always called me a Scrooge because I never got excited for it. I just want it to be over.

But now I have a daughter & a husband. My daughter is about to turn 11 months old. We don’t have any Christmas stuff; not a tree, no lights, no ornaments... hubby wants to go shopping to get everything & I want to for my daughter but it feels like such a chore because I hate it. It’s my daughters first Christmas & the very last thing I want to do is ruin it for her even though she won’t really remember it... how can I get excited for Christmas? I’m excited that it’s her first Christmas but I’m not excited for it to be Christmas. If that makes sense? Anyone else hate this time of year or am I just crazy?
