Feeding 10mth old whole milk?

Question

Is it ok if i feed my 10mth old whole milk for just half a day? We are running out of his formula milk, itll be done on tues. His WIC appt is also on tues, so i can go grab his milk by then. Is it ok if i just feed him a bottle or 2, of whole milk? Cant really afford his milk, theyre 20 bucks over at where i live.

Go to his ped and ask for a few samples! They literally have a whole room full of them to give away

Yes he will be fine. His poop will probably be different later or tomorrow. You can call wic and explain situation to them too they usually will give you a can or 2 to last until your appt. after this appt if i were you i would start introducing the whole milk mixed with the formula so that incase this happens again next month it wont be a sudden change.

I’d ask on your Facebook page or ask family to help. Surely someone will loan you 20 bucks for his milk. Post on some local moms or garage sale sites, I’m willing to bet someone out there has a can they’d give you.

Is he eating solids already? If so then it should be fine since he’s still getting nutrients from the food... but I’d try to get that formula any way you can.

It should be fine. I had to, too. My ped said it was fine, the only reason they wait is because they need the iron & stuff in formula & there’s not really any large amounts in milk. Just try to avoid skim. It doesn’t have the fats in it they need. That’s why WIC tells them whole milk until they’re 2. (I still give mine whole & they’re 4 & 6 and at a healthy weight)

Not straight no. What I would do is ratio formula to milk.  That's how you're going to introduce the milk anyway. I think I started at 11 months to switch my son over.

Honestly ask his doctor. I would think no, though. Because whole milk is different than formula.
