Need prayers !!! My 12 year old is having a rod put in her back !

About a year and a half ago my 12 year old daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis. We saw a dr from out of town and he suggested a back brace for her but told us from the beginning the only option if her spine continued to curve, which is what happens with scoliosis, would be surgery ! So we too her to get fitted for a brace, my ex husband and I, who do not exactly get along well but we try for our two children to do the important things so we took my Layla to get fitted for her back brace! For a year we were adamant about her wearing it and told her “ you will have to have surgery Layla if you don’t wear it like you are suppose to” well a few months ago we went to a follow up appointment and had an x ray done to check the curvature of Layla’s spine! Her spine had curved much more, which we already kinda knew and she did too because it was obvious and she was developing a hump in her back and as a 12 year old 7th grader she was becoming self conscious of it ! But I do have to say I am so proud of her because layla is so confident in herself and told me it’s ok if people make fun of me momma they have he problem if they do not me ! So now tomorrow evening after she goes to school , because she told me she wants to go to school tomorrow to see all of her friends and say bye to them, we will be going out of town and Wednesday morning my 12 year old will be having a 6 hour back surgery to put a rod in her back to straighten her spine. I’m beyond nervous and just so ready for all of this to be over and come home with my baby !! So can anyone that sees this please keep me and my baby in their prayers !

My Layla ! She is a tough girl and I couldn’t be more proud of anyone in this world! The picture above is Layla holding one of her new twin brothers I had with my current husband 9 weeks ago but I always tell her there is something special about her because I had her when I was 20 and kinda grew up with Layla. When she was little I would kiss her and tell her she was my heart and I could never live without my heart ! She is now getting to be a teenager and has an attitude everyday at some point and wants to disagree with every single thing I say but I hope one day she realizes that I love her more than anything in this world and she is still my heart and I could never live without my heart !
