How do I write an Affidavit?

I have to write one for my child custody case.. and idk where to start. 😭😭 it’ll be a response to my son father..

Think of it as a response letter to whatever he gave you. Discuss whatever he put in there that matters to you, and anything you want discussed that wasn't in his letter. Anything you put in there should be something you would swear to be true in front of a judge. If you have a lawyer or can find legal help, I would.

Keep emotions out of it, stick to facts and straight answers. Use times/dates/places if giving examples. Name witnesses to any events if needed. Key is to be honest and straight forward. Like said before, answer any comments in his affidavit, if you need to defend or clarify your actions, do so. It will look worse if you don't acknowledge things stated against you. Good luck.

You can go online and get an affidavit printed out and then you can take it to a bank to have it notarized I had to get one to get court documents because apparently my ID was not enough.
