Citalopram

I got proscribed Citalopram today. I looked it up online just now and what it treats seems like a fairly good fit. I know everyone is different and I did talk to my doctor about the short term and long term side affects but Just wondering if anyone is on it and what they’re experiencing.

If I’m fully honest yes i will be really glad if this works and know I might have to adjust my meds to be able to live a “normal” life but I’m kinda afraid about the weight gain side affect because I’m only 5’0 and 120 pounds. Which is still kinda chubby for my height as it is. Extra pounds look like a lot on some one my height. He said something about only 3 pounds but later said something about 30 pounds I might’ve misheard.

The other thing the doctor kept repeating is that it’s going to lower my sex drive. My boyfriend is military and I’ll only really see for sure later this month then not again for months so I don’t really see it being lowered as an issue? I’m 18 so it’s already pretty high I guess.
