Will she be mad that I lied about being pregnant???

Idk how long this will be...

My mom can be a lot sometimes. We didn't have the BEST relationship my high school and early adult years (I'll be 23 for reference). She gets pretty controlling.

Ever since I got married, (May 2017) she has been on my a$$ literally at least once a month of "when she's going to get grandkids", " she can't wait to be a grandma", "why don't I just have a baby already", " are you pregnant"...etc...etc.

It's very annoying cause it's really none of her business why we were waiting... I wasn't going to throw my hubby under the bus, because he was the one who wanted to wait and I wanted a baby.

I've been lying to her about getting my period once a month for an excuse to feel like $hit... I've told her I'm not pregnant (when she asks) and that it's rude to ask.

Well, we ARE pregnant. We've known since Oct 7th. We are the only ones who know. We have told literally NO ONE (besides our doctor of course).

We are announcing this weekend to my parents and immediate family. I'm a little stressed out and anxious about it, because I know she's going to make it all about herself.

I know she will be excited and I love my mom. I just don't know what can of worms I'll open with this announcement.
