Boyfriend’s Mom Caught Us

Today I went to my boyfriend’s house bc I bought him dinner. When I got there he told me that his mom and sister were both out doing things and I thought nothing of it because they usually aren’t there.

We ate then started watching Netflix on the couch, like usual. He gets up and goes to his room after a while and just never comes back. I’m like why are you here, and he’s like I wanted to lay down. I asked why he didn’t just tell me and he said that he knew that I’d come. I mean obviously after a few minutes I’m gonna go looking.

Anyway, I’m just resting next to him while he’s playing his DS. Then he starts snuggling and we were just laying together in the dark for a while. I was gonna fall asleep and I thought he was too but then he starts kissing me.

So we start making out. Clothes are coming off and long story short, he’s naked and I’m just in my bra.

Then we hear the door and his mom’s usual greeting to the cats. So we jump up looking for our clothes I’m trying to get my pants on but one leg is inside out, he’s telling me to put my shirt on. I’m trying to do that and fix my pants when his mom opens his bedroom door and we lock eyes. She shuts the door and goes to her room.

I’m sweating bullets at this point. Why did she have to open the door at that moment??!?!! I think a small piece of me died.

She calls my boyfriend’s cell because she obviously saw me getting dressed (My boyfriend was dressed with his shorts on backwards and shirt inside out but out of her line of sight). I’m telling him to talk to her because she obviously has to say something.

So I’m saying that I should leave because she’s obviously mad but he’s like no then it’s gonna look like we didn’t something wrong. So I just sat on the bed while he tried to buff out the situation but she wanted to speak to him alone.

I ended up leaving.

I mean, we’re both adults and we’ve been together for almost 4 months. She spoke to him when we first started dating about safe sex so I honestly didn’t think this would be such a big deal if she figured things would happen.

She ended up telling him that there are two rules, being safe and respecting the house. She doesn’t want me around as much anymore, which I feel is fair even though majority of the time she’s home when I go over.

And she asked him if I knew that I did something wrong. I don’t 100% feel like we did something wrong, I just didn’t want her to see me naked, but I am upset that she is upset. But honestly I’m super confused.

I’ll apologize when I see her next, which might be in 3 days. She isn’t the type of person to just push something to the side and ignore it.

This is a long post and kinda jumbled (but that’s where my mind is at the moment) but any words of wisdom would be helpful.

We are 20 and 21 years old. We live in nyc so neither of us can afford to live away from home at the moment.

Also, his mom wasn’t there already but came home while we were in the middle of everything.
