What can I use to tame split ends after being styled?

Idk what is going on with my hair but the breakage is so bad. There are just random two inch hairs sticking up after I straighten It. I try to use hair spray to tame but It doesn’t appear to be working (I don’t want to use a tone cause then It will be stiff). I started using a L’Oréal damage erasing balm and also bought this serum. Please help! These are the products I am currently using. This picture was before I started the balm and serum. My hair has never been this bad and i have been getting blonde for 10+ years.
