10 Daily Motivation Tips To Get Your ๐ In The Gym ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ผโฌ๏ธ
Iโve seen that a lot of girls have questions and concerns about staying motivated to workout, and itโs completely understandable.
Unfortunately, motivation is something that comes and goes, youโre never really going to be 100% motivated all the time, but this is when discipline comes into play. It takes 21 days to create a new routine. ๐ช๐ผ
Habits are neuropaths that you have created in your brain by doing the same thing over and over again. It became your โnormalโ, and what your body perceives as โnaturalโ. When you go out of your way and try to do something different (like working out), it gets heavy, itโs difficult, it hurts. And weโve all done it over and over again, and it never seems to work. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
Probably nobody has told you this before. I know because nobody told me anything before I started.
The truth is:
1. No diets will work, ever, so STOP DIETING. ๐ ๐ปโโ๏ธ
2. You need to have a motive, a reason, something that will ignite the fire inside of you to go burn it at the gym. ๐ฅ
My reason: I want to be healthy. Being healthy doesnโt mean that I just eat a few more veggies every day and thatโs it. No. Itโs a lifestyle. You do eat more veggies every day, but you also make sure your food is organic, your eggs are pasture raised, your water is clean and fluoride free, your soap, shampoo and toiletries are chemical free, you avoid eating processed foods and start eating at home. You care about what your body is receiving and absorbing, about working it out, about being more in touch with yourself, your body and nature. ๐ฟ
3. Find a workout that makes you happy. It could be running, swimming, dancing, weight lifting, cross fit, you name it. Just stay active for at least 21 days (include your rest days). Once you create your routine, your body will ask you for it. But you also need to remember your reason and understand two things: today is the day to start and that itโs a process, it takes time, so be patient. My favorite workout is weight lifting ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ it makes me feel like superwoman! Whatever it is that you choose, start slow and increase as you go. Thereโs no rush because thereโs no end, itโs a process and you get better at it with time.
4. Get yourself some nice workout outfits that make you feel confident and sexy. This helps A LOT! ๐
5. Take progress pictures and measurements every 15-21 days and avoid the scale. ๐ ๐ปโโ๏ธ
6. Find a picture of someone that motivates you and use it as your phone wallpaper ๐ฑ
7. Make a playlist with music that makes you want to dance ๐ถ
8. Get yourself gym gear, because you spent money on it youโre going to have to use it ๐, plus, it makes you feel like a gym pro ๐ช๐ผ keep your hands nice and soft with a pair of gloves ๐ค๐ผ
9. Find an exercise that you really like and do it every day at the end of your workout so you look forward to it! I personally love doing handstands ๐คธ๐ปโโ๏ธ, I leave it until the very end always because I can do a little yoga to stretch and play around, plus I look forward to doing that every time! โค๏ธ
10. Get to know the gym and the different types of workouts. The more you know, the more confident you get ๐ช๐ผ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
EXTRA 11. Try to go at the same time every day, it helps to get to know the flow of the gym at the different hours so you can go in and out without wasting much time waiting for the machines to be available.
This is what works for me. It doesnโt mean that itโll necessary work for every single one of you, but take the ideas and adapt them to your routine, maybe youโll find something different that will work for you! ๐๐๐ผ
