Best tips and advise for complete relaxation?

I start IVF in January and I am wanting to know what you did to ensure that you were relaxed and stress free! I am an anxious person so any advise would be wonderful! 
2019 is going to be my year!!! 💕

I was pretty stressed during my cycle. My husbands parents had to come in for a family wedding and they stayed with us in the middle of my stims. We bought a mini fridge to keep hidden in our room to store the cold meds (they didn’t know we did IVF). So between that and worrying they would cancel my cycle because they found a hemorrhagic cyst on one of my ovaries, I didn’t feel very relaxed lol. 
The good news is that despite all that stress, I got 7 good or better quality embryos; did a fresh transfer with one (who I’m 28 weeks pregnant with now) and froze 6. So even though it’s easier said than done, try not to stress. Take it one step at a time, listen to your body, eat some chocolate and good food, and just do things that make you feel good. I was too busy to think too much about the whole process.  I was working 30 hours a week and going to school full time at three universities.  I had just enough time for appointments.

Acupuncture and listen to the “mindful ivf” app. Some parts are free and some parts you pay for, but it is worth it. Good luck.

i did IVF in april 17.. gave birth jan 18'.. i didn't take time off.. i went to work.. n kept myself busy.. cuz if i had too much time in my hands id drive myself sick

My doctor did say that acupuncture was helpful, but I did not do it. I tried meditation for the very first time. I also got an audiobook that I enjoyed listening to as a distraction. I work and i had one day in the office that I just could not focus, all I could think about was the egg retrieval. I let myself cry a little when I got home and told myself it was the hormones, felt better the next day. You may have moments when you feel emotional, but cut yourself some slack and treat yourself.

Honestly, I work full time (hs teacher), exercise four days a week, have a 2 year old and go to acupuncture  2 days a week. I found for me the key was to keep busy but also up my self care regimen. Exercise helps my body and the acupuncture helps my mindset.  Work has been a “filler” for time. It sounds horrible but being busy at work made the days go somewhat faster. 
I also downloaded some really easy, lighthearted books on my kindle for the waiting room at the dr. I would go on amazon and get like the 99 cent books or do rentals.
