Is 15/16 years old too young to lose your virginity?

Me and my bf have been talking about having sex for the first time. We are both virgins and already have protection and like a back up plan if anything goes wrong but I just wanted to get some advice

I waited until 21 and honestly it was such a good decision. I’m not saying to wait that long, but the majority of people regret their first time, at least if you wait until you’re older, your hormones won’t be getting in the way and you’ll be more sure of what you want in life. If you’re prepared to lose it to someone you might not stay with, to someone who can’t support you if you get pregnant, or even prepared to have a baby or deal with the consequences of adoption/abortion- then by all means, have sex. 
The thing is though, sex isn’t just something you do in a relationship, there’s a lot of responsibility tied to it. And most teenage guys have no idea what they’re doing when it comes to sex anyways. It’s important to know what you want and how you’re pleased so that you can help guide him.

I had sex at 15, I still am 15 lol and I feel like it’s too young but it already happened and I don’t regret it at all. Me and my boyfriend are still together and we have been for over a year. We both mean a lot to each other and he constantly shows me love and appreciates me. If you understand what happens in sex (basically not asking questions like ‘he fingered me, am I pregnant’ 🤦🏽‍♀️) and understand the consequences then you’re definitely prepared. I would be safe and get on birth control because after sex, you’ll want a lot of it trust me lol. That’s what I’m doing and mine is super effective. If you know what you’re doing, okay with what you’re doing and understand if something happens from sex and you can handle the responsibility if you do become pregnant, then I would say go ahead but of course still be safe.

I had sex at 14 with my boyfriend of 8 months. Because I was younger I wanted to wait until I knew I was completely ready and educated as well as trusted my boyfriend 100%. We are still together 2 years later and I don’t regret anything. I do think I was too young at the time looking back, but I still don’t regret it or think I was being “dumb” and made a bad decision. I would say as long as YOU know YOU’RE ready and protected then go for it.
