What is this?

My 6 week old daughter has this behind both ear and and the back of her neck and lower part of her skull, she wakes up and her clothes are covered with yellowish sticky stuff. I have no clue what it is and it’s starting to freak me out. It has a little bit of a funky scent and starts to crust around her ears. Her hair is also all stuck together because of the yellowish stuff that’s coming out. I took her to the ER and they said it was dermatitis and prescribed me Lotramin and told me to put desitin on it. This doesn’t seem to be helping, any suggestions? I feel like I’m up against the wall trying to figure out what it is and if it bothers her ☹️ could this be infected cradle cap?
