GBS test not thorough enough?? Maybe TMI

Does anyone know how thorough the swab actually has to be for the gbs test? I feel like my ob just like tapped the outside of my hoo ha and didn’t get inside at all. I don’t want to have it come back negative and worry that she didn’t do a thorough enough job??? 😰😰😰 am I being paranoid?? Lol

No don’t worry that’s normal and they will get the right results :)

I’m so jealous. My doctor inserted the freaking thing in both holes 😂 I’m pretty sure they’re just meant to swab the outside though. You’d be surprised how much those swabs can pick up from just a light touch.

Mine barely swabbed and my results came back positive.

Yeah most people I know of didn’t feel like they got probed with it, even those that did come up positive.
