Is it weird going to my friends bfs family parties?

My friend invited me to go with her to her bfs cousins party and i told my bf I was going (I tell him everything) and he just thought it was weird and gave me a scenario of going to one of his friends gfs family party & I thought that was weird but yet I don’t find it that weird going with my friend to her bfs family party. Is it just a girl thing ( like it’s normal for girl-friends to do)?

Why would you think it's weird if he did it? But not you? I think it is weird to be honest, I sure wouldn't want a stranger at my party especially if I didnt invite them myself.

If you are comfortable going and it’s OK with the person whose party it is, I see absolutely no issue. You do what you wanna do and if he ends up in the same situation someday, you’ll have to be understanding too. 
If my friend’s boyfriend invited me to go with them to his family’s party, I would not feel strange about it. If my boyfriend had a friend whose girlfriend invited him to go with them to her family party, I would have no problem with that either. It’s a party, why would anyone care? Unless of course you don’t trust one another.

Idk I wouldn’t mind but I’d ask to bring my bf. 
I’ve always been good friends with my best friends boyfriend as if he was my brother but we’ve all been in our relationships for a long time. 
So with that being said me and my boyfriend have gotten to know my best friends family, and because my boyfriend is now friends with my best friends boyfriend. We’ve gotten to know his family as well. So it wouldn’t be weird. 
Hell sometimes my best friend and bf hang and sometimes me and her bf hang if our kids want to play and our partners aren’t home etc. 
we’re all just really close like a family. So I guess depends on that.
