Autism?

Question

Did anyone have a one year old who didn't respond to their name being called or didn't point to things and didn't get diagnosed with autism? 
Everything else he's fine so I'm wondering how much to worry

Have you done a comprehensive hearing exam? I would visit an audiologist and rule out any hearing difficulties before exploring Autism

They can’t test till they are 3-5 years old unless your child is showing a lot of signs of it. My 2.5 year old still doesn’t talk but we are starting speech therapy and having her hearing tested to make sure it doesn’t have anything to do with that and if nothing is wrong there then the plan is to start the therapy parts till they can test her. She’s very smart but was a late crawler,Walker, and didn’t say a word if you call mum or da a actual word till she was over a year old and didn’t point to anything till she was16 months. But she sure as hell can put a 50 piece puzzle together by herself no problem in 20 minutes and can call daddy or grandpa by finding the number in my phone.
