How does your SO react when you’re not happy?

When you are unhappy about something in your relationship, how do you tell your partner and how do they react/what do they say?

Whenever I’m upset/angry my boyfriend gets angry as well and we usually argue. He’s not the best at communicating.

He gets upset at me and we end up fighting, then stonewalls me for the entire “conversation”

My bf gets really concerned and lovey. He hates when I'm upset and I'm terrible at hiding it.

He says I’m sorry baby. And gives me space or does something  nice for me.  He’s not naturally snuggly but will if I ask for it. And he will just listen to me vent. He’s learned if I want advice, I will ask.

We talk. The other tries to fix whatever the issue is the best way we know how. We also try to understand both sides of the situation.

straight up tell them what bothers me because closed mouths don’t get fed and beating around the bush never helps either. his reaction depends on what i tell him honestly lol. and how the tone of voice in how i tell him
