Indoor cake smash a bad idea?

My daughter's birthday is in two weeks and I want to do the cheest cake smash but I think it'll still be too cold to do it outdoors. Has anyone does an indoor cake smash? How'd you pull it off, were there any ants? 😬

We did indoors. Just put a plastic table cloth down under the baby's high chair. Easy clean up!

I did my sons 1 year cake smash indoors just a couple days ago. Just make sure youre doing it on hardwood/tile and also put something on top to cover the floors. I used wrapping paper that was part of the shoot. 
Also, i thought the shoot would turn out with some great pics, but my son didnt like the cake idea. He took a couple tastes then he got annoyed with his hands all messy because of the icing.
Luckily i had taken some pics without the cake. Just maybe be prepared before and take some without the cake, cuz once the cake gets ruined and you have a crying baby, photoshoots over 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ours was outside but we put plastic down on the floor before starting, it made clean up easy.
