Husband in pain

My husband woke up one and his left cheek by his nose was hurting. We think his Maxillary sinus (I think that's what it's called lol) is what it is. But it's been 3 days and his nose has bled every time he blows it. Not enough to call it a nose bleed...and it's not coming from a place where you'd think his nose was just dry, it's also small black chunks.

Google gives us the worst so we've stopped. Going to force him to the doctor this week if it continues. Does anyone have experience with their sinus cavity bleeding?
