is my son a normal weight?

he was born 7 pounds 8oz at 37 weeks. now he’s 4 months old at 12 pounds 2oz and 25 inches tall. is this okay? he’s not sitting up unassisted or rolling over. he does tummy time literally all day. not giggling but he smiles fine. he’s breastfed. 
my pediatrician says he’s okay but she also questioned if i give him whole milk... like, what?

My son was 8 lbs and 6 oz when he was born and now being 3 months he's probably between 13 and 15 lbs (last Dr visit 2 weeks ago) We go for his 4 month check-up on the 1st. Dr said he is healthy 😍

As long as he’s following his growth curve and meeting his milestones you’re all good! 
My first babe was 7 pounds at birth and 12 at 4 months. He was very tall too. He was always 15% for weight and 90-95% for height. 
I’m pretty sure the rule of thumb is double their weight at 6 months and triple at a year.

He’s fine. His adjusted age for being born early is 3 months, so he sounds right on track.
